This episode captures the majestic osprey, a large, long-winged "fish hawk," in all its glory over Merritt Island, an intercoastal area of Florida. While the bird is found in various regions throughout the U.S., it is often spotted above water sources. Thus, Merritt Island is the perfect habitat for this monogamous bird of prey, which makes its home high above the ground in an effort to protect its family.

We'll show the Springer couple, who want to make their yard a continuation of a nearby wildlife refuge, how to erect a 20-foot osprey stand. We'll also tour the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge for a peek at the ospreys that have made the island their back yard of choice.
