California native Dave White was in the first EAMT graduating class in September 2002. He's been involved in animal welfare ever since, and has lived in Phoenix for the last 11 years.
He says being an EAMT is the most rewarding and satisfying job he's ever had. His wise and warm demeanor is truly appreciated. Despite the rigors of his job, he always has a smile to share.
Dave and his wife share their lives with five pets: two gorgeous pugs named Buddy and Holly, an 8-year-old cat named Precious, a desert tortoise named Sam and a 15-year-old toy Pomeranian named Moses, who was hit by a car and rescued by Dave.
What is one of the biggest challenges working as an EAMT?
"The toughest part of the job for me is dealing with people who are unsympathetic and have no respect toward animals. It makes the job certainly challenging, but I am glad we're able to rescue and remove an animal from a dangerous situation."
Personal Interests
Dave's hobbies include target shooting and baseball.
