Andy Starr

Rugged Andy Starr has been an EAMT since 2002 — and holds a physics degree from St. Michael's College in Vermont.

Andy responds primarily to calls about sick and injured stray animals, and he assists with technical rescues. He's always focused on the task at hand and he's driven to make a positive impact.

The aspect Andy enjoys the most as an EAMT is responding to a badly injured or very sick animal and making a difference in the animal's life.

Andy and his family share their home with two dogs named Fox and Skippy and four cats named Letsa, Bella, Anastasia and Chloe.

Why do you love your job?
"Knowing that the animal would have suffered and possibly died if it weren't for my immediate help is very rewarding," Andy says. "Seeing that animal return to its owner or adopter gives me such a good feeling. I've helped save a life and get the animal to a loving home. This is the best job I've ever had!"

Personal Interests
Andy loves baseball and spending time with his family.
