A Maremma Abruzzo Massif guard dog, bred to protect livestock from wolves, rests amoung sheep waiting to be milked by shepard Luigi Francomano. In an effort to curb the number of wolves being poisoned, bred dogs are being given to shepherds as an alternate way of dealing with wolves.
