This week Jake posed for this very own HSUS T-shirt photo! My mom and I will wear the shirts at the World's Ugliest Dog Competition to further educate people on the danger of puppy mills. Please click on this link to see the T-shirt for yourself.
Jake is doing well. His eye is getting better and he’s ready to hit the road! We will fly into San Diego on June 20 and pick up my mom and drive to Sonoma, where there will be more interviews. The Sonoma-Marin Fair's World's Ugliest Dog Contest will take place on June 23. Don’t forget to wish him luck if you see him, because I think he is still a little worried about the competition. In fact, don’t hesitate to tell him how ugly he is looking these days -- it gives him a boost of confidence!
Since Jake has been under the weather a lot of people in the neighborhood have been asking about him, and it just amazes me what an impact he makes on people. This little dog spent the first part of his life being miserable in a puppy mill and now he is living the life in Washington, D.C., with so many friends concerned for him and wishing him the best in the World’s Ugliest Dog Competition. We even have well-wishes coming from England.
Thanks so much and we’ll be checking in soon!
