Giant panda cub Tai Shan make his first public appearance at the Smithsonian's National Zoo in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005. More than 50 media outlets and over 100 reporters and camera crews from around the world saw Tai Shan for the first time as they filed past his indoor enclosure in five different shifts.
