Mei Xiang and Tian Tian's cub, seen above, is weighed and measured at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005. Mei Xiang left her den at 8:10 a.m. that morning to get a drink of water and eat some bamboo in the nearby indoor exhibit, giving zoo keepers a brief opportunity to examine the cub and determine its sex.
