EarthEcho International is a nonprofit organization founded in 2000 by Philippe and Alexandra Cousteau in honor of their father Philippe Cousteau Sr., famous son of legendary explorer Jacques Yves Cousteau. EarthEcho International believes that everything we do makes a difference and all of our actions have consequences. EarthEcho's mission is to empower individuals to take action to sustain and enhance our water planet.

Through ocean conservation and exploration media distributed through diverse and sometimes unexpected outlets, EarthEcho International shares the wonder and intricacies of the natural world and humanity's relationship to it. But awareness is not enough — our everyday actions must support a healthy planet. Our programs encourage people to make a positive difference for our water planet by changing everyday behaviors: shopping, voting and volunteering in an environmentally conscience manner.

The environment — especially the ocean, the life support system of our planet — is not a luxury item but vital to all life on Earth. Fresh air and clean water, sustained by a healthy ocean, are the foundations of a just and equitable society, of safe communities and of healthy families.
