Meet Sheryl Crow
small text
large text

This Missouri-born singer-songwriter is often celebrated as one of the last true rock stars.  Born into a music-loving family, Crow began playing piano by the age of five, and was just 13 when she wrote her first song.  While pursuing a degree in music at the University of Missouri in Columbia, she began playing in her first rock band.  After graduation, Crow went on to teach music to children with autism.  In 1986, she moved to Los Angeles to kick off her performing career – earning gigs as a backup singer for Michael Jackson, Sting, Stevie Wonder and others, and writing songs that were recorded by Eric Clapton, Wynonna Judd and Celine Dion.

Since exploding on the global pop stage in 1993 with the multi-platinum Tuesday Night Music Club album, Crow has continued working at a breakneck pace, releasing six additional albums and performing as many tours, winning nine Grammy Awards, and collaborating with everyone from the Rolling Stones to Kid Rock to Willie Nelson.  She has taken a dramatic new direction with the release of her newest album, Wildflower, which is a collection of intimate, introspective compositions, heavy on string arrangements rather than guitar solos.  Visit her web site (note: you will be leaving AnimalPlanet.com).
