A native of Camden, S.C., Laura Kraut represented the United States at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany, in September 2006, where she helped bring home the team silver medal. She earned her spot on the team by finishing third in the selection trials with Miss Independent. Kraut also was a key factor in the second place finish for the United States in the Samsung Super League competition this year. She was on the team in Hickstead, Rotterdam, Lucerne, Rome and Barcelona, riding both Anthem and Miss Independent. A veteran of the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, she has made six World Cup Finals appearances including earlier this year in Kuala Lumpur. Kraut has eight World Cup Qualifier wins to her credit and five Nations Cup wins.
