Born: July 30, 1971
Residence: Wellington, Florida
Horse: Ilian (17-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; owned by Thomas and Nephele Domencich, South Beach Stables)

Schuyler Riley began riding at age seven in Vermont, and was soon winning equitation and children's hunter championships throughout New England. She trained through her junior years in Rhode Island, and her talent took her to placings in the United States Equestrian Team (USET) Talent Search Finals and the Maclay Finals at the National Horse Show in Madison Square Garden. In 1991, at the tender age of 19, she became the first female and the second youngest rider to win the USET Show Jumping Talent Derby. In 1998, Riley's career was advanced when she received a grant from the USET to compete in Europe. There she rode for the United States team in Spain, Austria and Czechoslovakia where she helped the U.S place second in the Nations Cup.

With her trusted and beloved companion and soul mate, Ilian, she has amassed an impressive record. In 2000, they won the $150,000 Budweiser Invitational and the $300,000 American Grand Prix Association (AGA) Championship, and were second in the 2001 Budweiser Invitational. They competed in the 2005 FEI World Cup in Las Vegas, and represented the United States on the Gold medal 2005 Samsung Super League Team. Riley spent early 2006 in Europe competing and returned home to grab second aboard Ilian in the 2007 Bainbridge Idle Dice Classic CSI-W in Wellington, Florida. A graduate of Tufts University, she takes to the slopes skiing when not in the saddle or grabs a good book.
