Recording artist, concert performer and Broadway star Linda Eder, who recently added executive producer and host of Animal Planet's Trail MIX to her resume, was joined by singer-songwriter Rob Thomas, his wife Marisol and Animal Planet Planet EVP and GM Maureen Smith at Pets Alive, to present a check for $11,898.75 to help fund the upstate New York no-kill animal shelter.

The monies are a combination of donations made throughout the past year at Eder's concerts by her fans and a matching donation by Animal Planet.

The fund was started by fans bringing quarters to the stage during Eder's performances, proving that small change can go a long way.

This donation presentation was filmed as part of the Animal Planet special Trail MIX, premiering in January 2006.

Rob and Marisol Thomas are longtime supporters of Pets Alive and are the proud parents of Tyler, a lovable mutt they adopted from the shelter.
