I really enjoyed watching this episode. It was really funny to see my friends from school on TV because half the people on it had no clue what was going on. It was a good laugh. When LV went to "boot camp" with Kim Prince, I definitely missed him. Kim can make him do things that I can't because she is the professional and is an amazing rider. If I was perfect then he wouldn't have had to go but obviously I am not so that's why we let Kim keep him for a few days. She made him more responsive to me and since he can get a bit of a temper (notice the "rearing" and "bucking") so she helped there. I was laughing so hard during this scene because LV is really funny when he gets a temper because he tried to rear and buck but he's not very good at it. :-)
The Maryland Medal was a good practice round to get me ready for the Maclay Regionals the following weekend. The course was not as difficult but comparable. There were some good riders there like the girl who won the large juniors at the Washington International Horse Show so the competition wasn't bleak. It was a good show going into the Maclay.
One thing that I do not like but I guess it is TV is that they keep saying I have no confidence. Anyone who knows me knows that that is not true. Yes, going against the "big name" riders is a bit wracking but I am not the type of person who focuses on that. If there is anything I think about, it is the prestigiousness of the show, like Harrisburg or Maclay. You think about it as another show but then you think about all the champions and great riders that have walked in that ring themselves. I never have been one to think about anyone else around me when it comes to riding but oh well.
I hope you enjoy next week!
