On training your horse, Frank explains, "The theory behind riding is developing a means of communication with words, using your voice, legs, seat and hands to send a message to the horse to do what he needs to do."

FRANK MADDEN, Trainer. Frank is the prestigious trainer and owner of the Beacon Hill Show Stables. Forced to graduate high school early, Frank became a groom in Florida to support his family. From there, he rose to become one of the top riders, then top trainers in the United States. He built Beacon Hill Show Stables, a 21-acre horse farm in New Jersey, from the ground up. A ham by nature, Frank has a jolly style, which endears him to his pack of teenage riders. Stacia is Frank’s training partner -- and his wife – a tough talker and a tougher rider. She’s balances Frank’s boisterous personality. Frank has several riders who might win the Maclay Medal, thereby adding to his reputation as a trainer. He already works with the top-ranked teen in the country – and all eyes are on Brianne.
