Meet Dr. Sheldrick

Dr. Daphne Sheldrick is an icon of the conservation world. As the founder of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, she has devoted her life to rescuing and raising Africa's orphaned and injured wildlife. In the process, she has become one of the world's greatest living authorities on the African elephant, the black rhinoceros and the rearing of wild creatures.

MEET DR. DAPHNE SHELDRICK
At age 3 she rescued her first wild orphan, an antelope calf, near her home in the Kenyan highlands. Since then, Dr. Daphne Sheldrick has been caring for orphaned and injured wildlife, from baby birds to abandoned elephants. Throughout her distinguished career, she's given hundreds of animals a second chance. Her greatest hope is that we learn to live in balance with nature. Meet this remarkable woman.
